Our School Day

Our School Day at Uplands

Parents should ensure their children arrive at school between 8.35 a.m. and 8.45a.m at either the main gate on Finchfield Road or the rear gate on Highlands Road.  At each gate, there is a member of staff on duty to greet your children. ​​

The school day ends at 3:15pm and parents/carers are expected to be in the pick up point at this time. Pupils will leave school via front or rear gate. Staff are on duty at both gates to ensure a safe dismissal. Please ensure your child is clear which gate they will be picked up from. Staff on duty do have walkie talkies to assist with communication between the gates. If pupil are not collected they will be taken back into school and sent to our After school club (if there is a vacant space) and this would incur a charge. Of course we understand that at times parents may be late and so we ask you to contact the school office so that we are aware of this.

If you are allowing your child to walk home alone then we must have written consent for this please.
