From March 8th our school kitchen will re-open and will be providing hot lunches, jackets and sandwiches as they did in the Autumn term. As parents you may choose whether your child brings in a packed lunch and eats with their class bubble in the classroom or has a hot lunch option provided by the kitchen and eats in the dining room or main hall (again in bubbles). Some of you may chose a combination of the above but we ask that you please stick to your chosen pattern for the remainder of this term.
Chartwells will continue to use the menu from the Autumn term through until July and this can be found on the homepage of our website. Week 1 menu will be March 8th, Week 2 March 15th etc. The menu meets food standards and all meals are approved by Charwells nutrition team.
Chartwells will send me their revised Risk assessment prior to re-opening and I will also be attending a "Re-opening webinar" tomorrow to ensure that everything is in place for everyone's safety.
The kitchen has been closed since we broke up for Christmas in December. It has been deep cleaned and will be cleaned again at the end of next week.
Please find attached the menu from the Autumn term along with a parent/carer letter from Chartwells. In the latter under the "tasty menu" section there is reference to pre-ordering meals-please ignore this as currently Uplands does not provide this service but this is something we are looking in to for the future.
If you have any further questions please call school and we will assist you
